Fangclaw, the Ghostly Hero did say that you could search a million lifetimes and never find her. I remember that line too, awesome line.
I guess The Destroyers can lock onto magic somehow. Admittedly Glint (and presumably her baby) radiate huge amounts of magical energy. Us humans can't sense it, but I'm sure someone can.
Also, Glint isn't that tough.
[skill]Greater Conflagration[/skill]
Makes her Jagged Crystal Skin (the thing that does damage back to you and rapes the party) useless.

I think it was the Ghostly Hero in The Amnoon Oasis that said it... and its actually Turai Ossa if im correct.

Didnt need to think too much about it... All I had to do myself in The Dragons Lair was telling my party to evade her attacks, use my rez signet, and wait until she tried to use [skill]Crystal Hibernation[/skill], wich I'd interrupt with [skill]Distracting Shot[/skill]
Theres written somewhere (in wiki maybe), that the Ancient Dragons predate back to prehistoric times (before the gods), where food wasnt a problem. Remember the first date of the Tyrian calendar? It said: Last sign of Gigantus Lupicus (best guess), walking on the soil of Tyria. If you've seen the Reign of Fire movie, you might find a similarity.
What if The Ancient Dragons ate all the Great Giants then went to sleep from lack of food source? Theres nothing that proves that the gods had something to do with this. As for Glint, they say she came onto Tyria 3000 years ago and that the gods made her come because they needed some sort of ''shepherd''.
Again, theres nothing to say that the world wasnt already there before the gods came and shaped it. If it hapenned like this, were looking at a similar design in GW Lore then in WoW.

Other theory is that the True Giants were other generals of The Dragons, and they were defeated around the time they vanished, as well as The Dragons themselves.
Would be a fair guess as it is way before humans or even The Forgotten arrived on Tyria.

On the Destroyers getting in Glints challange: If the Brotherhood were keeping the Baby Dragon safe you could assume they needed to get in and out of that Lair. With the amount of Asura gates floating around it wouldnt be too absurd to think the Dwarves were using one which happened to get overrun with Destroyers hence their entrance into one of the sections of Dragons Lair.

The Glint's Challenge NPCs in the Central Transfer Chamber are standing around one of those unusable background-Asura gates. I'm guessing that's it.
Considering The Destroyers were already in the Central Transfer Chamber, and it's proven they can use the gates as seen in A Gate Too Far, I guess that's how.

Hrrmn. I wonder if it will turn out that Glint's similarity to the Ancient Dragons isn't actually a coincidence, and that she was hatched from an Ancient Dragon egg that the gods found rather than being created?

It's not a total joke question, if the dragons don't need to mate with each other to reproduce, then they have full justification to be direct competitors.

This isn't a forum about how big dragons make mini dragons, but amazing question though! Maybay she had sex with a daddy dragon and then the daddy dragon died leaving Glint pregnant. Glint and the father were the last two dragons I'm guessing. Everyone loves Glint! Anyone who likes Kuunevang more needs to see a doctor.
Sorry about the double posting. I just don't know how to add two seperate quotes into the one post.

Kuunavang needs to die. She sounds like Asian Glint on helium.
Plus Glint has yet to be corrupted whilst Kuunavang got buried under a mountain of jade and went insane. PWND!

Glint. She'd use her awesomeness to blow Kuunavang up, because Kuunavang doesn't have protection vs awesomeness.
Also, where'd you get the av Bohya?
